BERNARD DOHERTY JEWELLERY

One of Australia’s leading artisans in  plique-a-jour enamel, a process that is the hallmark of Art Nouveau jewellery, Bernard Doherty has exhibited all over the world. Based in Gippsland, Victoria, Bernard is largely inspired by nature, his signature pieces are dragonflies & butterflies, crafted using this demanding, painstaking  & extroirdinarily beautiful technique. The enamel is applied upon an intricate metalwork skeleton, requiring both superior craftsmanship, time & skill. When rotated through the light, the rich colours of Bernard’s masterpieces take on different shades, hues & tones, bringing his realistic designs alive. Bernard is a member of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia
